Really???

Oh My God. Can these people be serious? I swear the people running the Republican party are a bunch of children throwing a tantrum because they lost a game. My 4 year old handles things better than these people.
First there is Newt Gengrich talking shit on Obama and Democrats. He referenced Obama last night saying "Let me be clear. I am NOT a citizen of the world." I guess he forgot that Regan said that he was a citizen of the world at one point. And Really??? Not a citizen of the world? Please. We all live on the planet Earth. That kinda makes us citizens of the world. Duh. How stupid can you be. And like xenophobia is really going to help the United States. These people need to get their heads out of their asses.

Next we have the grand idea of boycotting GM because they accepted government money on the grounds that they are not going to support Socialism. Again. REALLY??? So we are going to do our best to make make GM fail so that we can't get our money back, and in addition put thousands of Americans out of work. How is that helpful? It's just plain stupid.

On top of that, conservatives are also against the release of Bush Era torture documents. So owning up to the U.S.' grave mistakes and taking responsibility for our actions is wrong how? There are times when we absolutely must examine what has happened in our past to make sure it never happens again. It can only help us in the long run. The argument that it could be used by our enemies for propaganda is stupid. So could every news article on the subject, or any news article period.

Then we have the "NO! DON'T BRING TERRORISTS TO US SOIL!!! THE WORLD WILL END!!! AMERICA WILL BLOW UP IF THEY SET FOOT HERE!!" Please. We have terrorists here on us soil in Super Max prisons already. Uni-bomber anyone? Timothy McVeigh anyone? The guy who shot the abortion doctor anyone? Please. This argument holds no water and there is a town in Montana that will be more than happy to take them because it would provide jobs to so many of the people there. I don't see a problem with this and Gitmo needs to be closed.
The Republican Party needs to get their heads out of their asses. News flash. One of these "Gitmo Terrorists" is in New York and the city is still there. And as far as I know so is the Eastern Seaboard.

I'm so sick of these people. They need to grow up and start actually contributing constructively to the country the profess to love so much instead of sitting around and bitching at anything and everything they possibly can.
